Alcohol is deeply ingrained in everyday life in the Czech Republic. We toast each other, welcome newborns with bubbles, and ordinary social conversation is often accompanied by the question "Would you like some?".
But – as clinical psychologist Prof. Michal Miovský points out – there is no safe dose of alcohol. And even though we are aware of its risks, Czech society still treats them with a certain degree of tolerance.
In the new episode of the Health Perspectives podcast, this topic is discussed openly.
Editor Ilona Hobzová's guests were Prof. Michal Miovský, head of the Clinic of Addiction Medicine at the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University and the General Hospital of Prague, and Libor Votruba, entrepreneur, co-founder of the NEO Center and a person who has personally undergone addiction treatment.
