Kateřina studied psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University. She completed accredited psychotherapeutic training in group psychotherapy (INSTEP) and certified in clinical psychology and systemic psychotherapy.

She gained her first work experience at the Pedagogical-Psychological Counseling Center, where she worked mainly with children. This was followed by a private clinical clinic where, in addition to children, she also dealt with adults. She spent most of her professional practice at the Horní Beřkovice Psychiatric Hospital, where she went through several orientations. Her home office was the addiction treatment department. Here, she focused primarily on group psychotherapy, individual psychotherapy, family and couple therapy, and diagnostics.

For the last two years, before going on maternity leave, she worked as a senior clinical psychologist.

Kateřina also has many years of psychotherapy practice and many years of experience in lecturing, lecturing at conferences and seminars.
