Burnout syndrome today threatens not only managers, but also healthcare professionals, teachers and students. How to deal with it and how to prevent it was the topic of a workshop that recently took place at the NEO Center . The event was intended for representatives of company human resources departments and focused on supporting mental health in the workplace.
In the article, Kateřina Marklová, the professional director of the NEO Center and clinical psychologist, reminds us that the basis of prevention is respect for one's own boundaries:
"It's not realistic to be in balance all the time, but every minute counts. Take care of yourself first, then everyone else."
The workshop also included practical introduction to relaxation techniques, such as Jacobson's progressive relaxation , which helps release tension through conscious alternation of muscle tension and relaxation. Participants gained not only theoretical knowledge, but also specific tools to prevent overload and support their own psychological well-being.
The article by editor Eliška Hovorková also describes the care provided by the NEO Center: in addition to residential programs, it also offers outpatient psychotherapeutic, addiction and psychiatric consultations , which respond to the growing demand for professional mental health support.
